About Patricia

I have been in education for more than 33 years.  During those years,  I taught high school for 20 years.  For the last 13+ years, I have been (and still am) the Technology Director for our school system.  Like many of you, I am self-taught in digital photography and in Photoshop.  I live and work in a rural Tennessee county which is about 60 miles northeast of Nashville (Music City USA).  This is a great place to take photographs!

My friends call me Patricia, Trisha and/or Trish.  I have one child, a son, who has blessed me with a fantastic daughter-in-law and two precious grandchildren.  My grandchildren are six-year old Max (who shares my love of nature and birds) and two-year old Ruby.

I have an overwhelming love of photography -- especially nature photography, which includes birds, flowers, landscapes, moon images, etc.  I consider myself a free-lance photographer and have had some of my work published.  In fact, one of our local newspapers features one of my bird photos each week.

 My significant other, Charles Biles, and I take frequent road trips, and we'll always looking for the next great subject to capture in a photograph.

The photography equipment that I use is strictly Nikon with Nikon's Nikkor lens.  A full list is below.
